She chases after him and asks, "would you like to do some work?" It turns out that Kazumi in her last letter from New York had written that she was in a relationship with someone and that they might soon marry, but since then she has broken up with him, and she didn't want to make her father upset by coming home alone. The man, a freelance journalist named Yoshimi Kaoru, agrees to pretend to be her fiancé.

On reaching home, Kazumi discovers that her father is not actually on his deathbed (he just had minor surgery), and everyone discovers that Taku had written that letter back to Kazumi where their father says he's happy about the relationship. Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre 2000 (2000)
Chinese Drama

Cast:
Joyce Tang
Akina Hong

Genre: Period, Action

Episodes: ?

Playlist Currently Uploading PRIVATELY as of May 16, 2007 (cr)

Summary: The story revolves around a pair of priceless and extremely powerful weapons, known respectively as the Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber (more precisely dragon slaying's saber), which all of wulin's martial artists covet. Either or both of them are thought to allow their wielder to rule the wulin world, according to a widely circulating rumor in an oft-repeated mantra, though for some reason they are now lost.

The novel's hero is Zhang Wuji (張無忌), who through a series of dramatic events becomes a highly skilled martial arts practitioner and 34th leader of the Ming Cult.

Like in most Jinyong's novels, romance forms a major backbone to the book. Interwoven in the plot is the protagonist's romantic entanglements with four female characters.

The secret of the sword and saber is revealed midway in the novel, but the impetus of the narrative is not lost, as the author traces the upheavals which follow it.

Summary: Time travel has always been a popular topic among fiction, and recently it has been successful in creating hits. The storyline has heavy influences from the American movie Frequency, perhaps some Butterfly Effect, and reminds me of the countless movies using this idea such as the Korean hits, Ditto and Il Mare. Here it freshens it up an overused concept by combining crime/detective stories with time travel. Despite the lack of style seen in other works of this genre, To Get Unstuck in Time has an amazing script carried out by a chemistry-packed cast. Even if you can't make sense of some parts of the story, this series is a must see.
